Have you noticed? Have you noticed all the new faces, new activities, new websites, new communications, and the updates around the lodge in the last year? Not only has our membership been busy making these things happen, but you have also been hard at work signing up new members.
To give you a bit of membership background, our lodge has not made it's assigned new member quota in many years! But that has now changed, with everyone's hard work, we made quota this year with three months to go! As of writing this, we have attained 115.69% of our quota. That means we have signed up 59 of 51 new member applications.
This is amazing! But, while we made our Moose assigned quota, we set our own lodge quota goal! Our lodge goal total is 66 new member applications for the 2018 – 2019 year. For our lodge to continue to be healthy, we need to grow each year! This year has been a year of exciting changes, positiveness, and the making of new friendships. And, there is still more to do!
So, I am asking each and every member and the new member to think of something they can do to help the lodge move forward. Do you think you can help run a committee? Maybe you can help in calling bingo numbers, come up with a fun idea to run, or volunteer to help in a committee? A lodge is only as good as it's committees and volunteers! Remember, members make this lodge what it is! This next year will be another year of struggle and stretching for goals. I want to personally thank Kelsey E. Ferguson and Dan Sullivan for there hard work in signing up new members. They are both on the Virginia Moose's Top 25 list for signing up more than 18 new members. I also want to thank everyone that signed up even one new member, your help is also so necessary!
